Meet the people at Korsail
Don leads development efforts for Korsail Energy. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the development and management of renewable energy projects including market analysis, site identification, community and landowner outreach, property leases, feasibility studies, and state and local permitting.
He brings years of solar and commercial real estate development experience to the team with previous project development roles at Silicon Ranch and Hexagon Energy. Don holds a B.S. in Engineering Science and an M.E. in Civil Engineering, both from Vanderbilt University.
Hannah supports solar project development by identifying land, performing diligence, negotiating purchase and lease agreements, and managing local and national permitting on multiple projects across the county.
Hannah’s area of expertise is in electrical infrastructure design, permitting, and GIS. Hannah holds a BA in Geography from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Shalin provides high value engineering outline and analysis for the development of solar projects. He is responsible for the design of solar plus storage projects, submission of interconnection applications, maintaining utility relations, and managing a portfolio of projects from initial submission through project closeout.
He has over two years of experience as an engineer in the commercial solar field. Shalin holds an M.S. in Energy Systems from Northeastern University.
Justin brings value to the Korsail team by providing support during the real estate-related stages of developing new solar projects. His role involves a variety of duties, including site selection and land procurement, conducting due diligence, negotiating purchase and lease agreements with property owners, ensuring project compliance with permitting and zoning requirements, and assisting the team with project off-take.
Justin attained his bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder and has three years of experience working in multifamily and industrial real estate brokerage.
Wes provides support in all phases of utility-scale greenfield solar developments. His responsibilities range from land search, site selection, due diligence, negotiation, navigating the permitting process, coordinating with contractors and consultants, managing budgets, scheduling, and overseeing construction. Taking the project from inception to COD.
He brings four years of experience in real estate development and commercial brokerage to the team. Wes holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and a minor in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Katherine supports the Korsail team through the development of new markets by assisting in the evaluation, origination, and negotiation of purchase and lease agreements as well as the managing of projects through permitting and policy understanding.
Katherine holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Notre Dame and brings experience from both the product and commercial side of Climate Tech and SaaS platforms.
Anna offers assistance to the team in understanding the complex policy methods and legislation measures used by various federal, state, and local governments to regulate the solar energy and renewables industry. She provides additional support in RFP responses and numerous other project development activities.
Anna earned her bachelor’s degree double major in Environmental Studies and Studio Arts with an emphasis in photography, and a minor in Leadership from the University of Colorado Boulder. She then earned her master's in science in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver. Her background includes experience in waste management and environmental economic research.
Jean’ Paul supports the Korsail team by providing value during the real estate-related stages of developing new solar projects including site selection, land procurement, conducting due diligence, negotiating purchase and lease agreements, ensuring project compliance with permitting and zoning requirements, and assisting the team with project take-off. Jean’ Paul contributes communication, leadership, and drive toward team efforts and business improvements with his strong decision-making talents and collective brainstorming skills.
He brings two years of experience in Land Management to the Korsail team. Jean’ Paul has attained a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Liz supports our daily success by ensuring smooth office operations & marketing strategies for Korsail. Her role involves a variety of responsibilities including social media outreach, managing our inbound calls, calendars & bookkeeping.
Liz holds a BA in Public Relations from Western Michigan University and has eight years of experience in the financial industry.
